BIO

I grew up playing sports and practicing martial arts my whole life. I always loved slowly improving my skills and fitness through dedication and hard work.

In 2013 I was introduced to lifting weights on my high school football team. I was amazed at the results and progress I made. The best part was I knew it was all me. What I put in is what I got out of it. My friends and I would lift weights for hours every day after school. That’s how I fell in love with the process of training.

I was fortunate enough to play football at Foothill college for a year before I had to shift to my focus away from playing. I had bulked up to plan defensive line but was now left with excessive body weight. At my heaviest I got up to 250 pounds and felt uncomfortable in my own body. I didn’t have the money to afford a gym membership and let myself get out of shape.

I was coaching football at Gunn High School at the time (go titans!) and on the bus ride to our last game we went over a speed bump and felt my body fat move around. All the muscle I had worked to build was gone. How far I had fallen from my old days. I knew I had to change.

I had to teach myself about nutrition, motivate myself to restart working out and balance college and work. I learned how to make a practical, sustainable plan. I tracked my calories, protein, increased my cardio endurance and created a strength program.

I was able to change from 250 lbs to 190 lbs in 2019. I learned the key to getting resutls was making small, sustainable changes over time until they became habits. I believe this philosophy is the key to long term sustainable progress.

Now I enjoy practicing brazilian jiu-jistsu and compete in powerlifting. My personal records in powerlifting are;

Squat: 473

Bench Press: 385

Deadlift: 627

DOTS Score: 405

While I love pushing myself physically, I realized in my time working as a personal trainer I had a greater purpose. As I worked with more and more seniors I realized the impact I could have on their lives. Even a simple routine could go a very long way in tangibly improving the lives of my clients.

The picture here is me working my former client Tom. He is 82 years young and worked with me three to four times a week despite being physically handicapped. With consistency, effort and time we were able to improve his strength, mobility, and his balance. His positive attitude and story is an inspiration to me to keep going!

Let me share my experience and expertise with your to get you the results you want!
